Your data (Data Sources)
The team's own data from a conversation - providers and health systems, rate tables and CDMs, volume and cost datasets, payers, fee-schedule import audits, contracts and files, one tool per component.
Data Sources in the app holds what your team brought: the hospitals and health systems you work for, their rate tables and chargemasters (CDMs), volume and cost data, the payer list your data maps onto, contracts and files. Through the MCP server your assistant reads and edits the same records, and anything it saves shows up in the app.
Say something like:
Which rate table does Riverside use, and which payer names in our data aren't mapped yet?
Your assistant calls data_sections() first: it lists every component below with its tool, your team's counts, and a next_step naming what the team lacks (an owner, a fee schedule, a chargemaster, unmapped payers).
Getting data in
- An owner. Every table belongs to a provider or a health system.
data_add_providerbookmarks a CMS hospital by CCN (find it withfind_medicare_hospitals) or creates a custom provider;data_create_health_systemanddata_update_provider(health_system_id=...)group providers. A provider with no rate table of its own uses its health system's. - A rate table or CDM.
create_uploadgives a 15-minute upload link (the file never passes through the conversation),inspect_uploadshows the columns, andsave_rate_table/save_cdm_tablesave a new version, which becomes the Latest. - Volume or cost data. The same upload, then
data_add_datasetwith the column mapping and a description. The raw file is deleted once it is read.

Changes that need your yes
data_set_latest, data_remove_provider, data_delete_health_system, data_delete_dataset, data_merge_payers and data_delete_payer change nothing unless called with confirm=true. Without it they answer what they would do, and your assistant asks you first.
What stays in the app
- A rate table's Latest. Switching it also re-links the underpayment contracts, which runs with your app sign-in.
data_set_latestswitches a CDM's Latest; switch a rate table's in the app. - Deleting a rate-table or CDM version. The app checks that no study uses the version before it deletes; that check runs with your app sign-in, which an assistant does not carry. Delete versions in the app.
- Running a fee-schedule import. Reviewing, attesting, committing and approving an import record a named person's sign-off in the audit trail, so an assistant only reads imports: their files, the cross-check, the audit summary, the timeline and the binders on record.
- Uploading contracts and files into File Spaces, and creating connectors or monitors. The assistant lists them and reads a file's text; connectors are demo integrations and hold no credentials.
Plans
Everything here is your own data and free on every plan, like the app. These calls count against the study-setup allowance (200 a day), not the 10-a-day free data allowance.
Read your EDI data
Upload 835 remittances and 837 claims (or read what your SFTP feed delivers), then read every table of the EDI pages, the denials and payment-variance analyses, and a verified dataset's checks, one tool each.
Public Data
Everything on the app's Public Data page from your assistant - hospital prices, Medicare and Medicaid volumes, insurers' published rates - one tool per table, and every CSV download.
