Introduction

Pull hospital prices, insurer rates, Medicare payments and CMS volumes into your AI assistant, so a pricing engagement starts with an answer instead of a week of file work.

If you run a pricing or revenue-cycle practice, most of the hours in a new engagement go into data your client could not hand you: what nearby hospitals charge, what insurers say they pay, what Medicare pays for the same case, and how often the code is billed. Hospitals and insurers publish all of it, in files too large and too inconsistent to open by hand.

The CognitoLabs MCP server puts that public data inside the AI assistant you already use. You ask in plain language, and the assistant looks it up and shows you the rows it used.

It is a remote server. You add that one URL to your client and sign in once. Nothing runs on your machine.

What it does for an engagement

Before the first call. Look at a prospect from the outside, with their own published numbers:

  • What does Piedmont Atlanta publish as its gross, cash and negotiated prices for DRG 470 and CPT 27447?
  • Which payers does this hospital list in its price file?

While you scope. Size the work before you quote it:

  • How many Medicare 70553 brain MRIs are billed in Kansas a year, and per hospital?
  • Which Atlanta hospital has the lowest gross charge for CPT 27447?

In the deliverable. Put the market next to your client's rates:

  • Compare negotiated rates for 99213 across Tampa hospitals.
  • What does Medicare pay Tampa General for DRG 470?
  • What do Aetna, Cigna and UnitedHealthcare publish for 99213 at these Florida practices?

Every figure comes from a published file and links back to it, so the number your client reads in the deck can be checked at its source.

Where to start

  1. Add the server to your client.
  2. Sign in the first time your client calls it.
  3. Ask one of the questions above about a client you are working with now.

A free account answers every question with a short preview, enough to see whether the data covers your market. Plans & access explains what the full data adds and how to turn it on.
